Laboratories

At the Institute of Electronics and Photonics FEI STU, laboratories play a key role in both teaching and research. They are places where theory meets practice – students work with modern technologies, gain experience from experiments and participate in solving current research projects.
Our laboratories are also open for cooperation with industrial partners and secondary school students (e.g., during Open House Day), thus supporting the connection between education, research and practice.

Battery Technology Laboratory

Focus on development, testing and analysis of battery cells for e-mobility and portable devices. Measurement of capacity, lifetime, efficiency and battery behavior under various loads. Research of new materials and battery management systems (BMS).

Diamond Layers and Carbon Nanostructures Laboratory

Research and preparation of thin layers of diamond and nanocrystalline materials. Use in microelectronics, sensor technology and photonics. Cooperation with SAS and international research centers.

Organic Electronics Laboratory (OrgLabs)

Focus on organic semiconductors and photonic materials. Development of flexible sensors, OLED displays and solar cells. Experimental projects of students and PhD students.
